The season begins Monday! We are so excited to be back outside, and it looks like the temperatures will be great for soccer! After speaking with the coaches and looking at your conflicts, at the bottom of this newsletter is the practice schedule for the Spring as well as the tournaments that each team will participate in (for teams that play in tournaments). We couldn’t work around every single conflict, but we did our best. If you still have conflicts, please let me and your coach know and we’ll try to find a solution. In the past, we’ve had players practicing with other teams from time to time because their regular practice times didn’t work.

 

I’m asking coaches and managers to begin updating their practice schedules on TeamSnap. Please always refer to TeamSnap when checking practice times.

 

We won’t have regular practices during Spring Break week, but we will offer some soccer opportunities for our players that are in town during that time. We’ll let you know about that next week.

 

Most of our teams participate in WSSL, and coaches will begin scheduling those games tomorrow. If you found out about any last minute weekend conflicts, please be sure to let them know. First weekend of games is April 10/11, and last weekend of games is June 5/6. I’m asking coaches to do their best to leave Memorial Day Weekend off.

 

The following teams are in need of a manager. Managers just assist the coach with very simple tasks (such as bringing the player cards to games, or helping with communication with the team; specific tasks depend on the coach), but can make things much easier for the coach and the team. If your team is listed below, please consider volunteering:

Just recently we surpassed 200 players in the club this season, a number we hadn’t had in a long time. I want to thank you for your support of the club, especially during such trying times. The fact that we are not only keeping our numbers, but growing during a global pandemic, says a lot about how much our community values its soccer club, and we definitely aware of how awesome and supportive our members are!
