Technical development is the foundation of the game of soccer. Too many times we see players barely touching the ball in practices, getting bored because they don't feel involved in the training session, getting overwhelmed with too many tactical concepts they cannot understand. If you want to play this game right, you need to start by completely dominating the ball and having full control of it. And no matter how good you are and at what level you play, you will have to continue to work on your individual technique, because there will always be room to improve. That's what our Technical Training program stands for. We want our players to come for an hour and have as many touches on the ball as they possibly can, so when they leave they feel they are a little better of a soccer player than they were before the start of the session.

What is Technical Training?
Technical Training is a chance for the players to learn new skills, turns and techniques based on Chelsea Soccer Club's Technical Curriculum. Here we focus on the methods behind dribbling (ball comfort, skills, turns etc.), passing, and finishing.
- These trainings are optional but are highly recommended as they offer a focus on technique that may not always be available in team training. Guaranteed the player will get a lot of individual touches on the soccer ball!
- Please bring standard equipment (cleats, shinpads, appropriately sized ball), and water.
- Sessions will be typically held by Coach Matthew, Coach Dillon and other staff coaches.
- These trainings are included in the club registration dues, and is open to any member of Chelsea Soccer Club.
