Bulldog Soccer School

Bulldog Soccer School starts back up on Saturdays this Fall season. This is a great program that is put on by both Chelsea High School and Chelsea Soccer Club in a joint effort to teach the game of soccer to the youth in our community. Players will register by their age (ages 4 through 10) and will then work on developing their soccer abilities for five Saturdays (9/17-10/15).  We will begin each week in small groups for games and skill work led by the coaches. The second half of each session will be ‘small side’ scrimmages. The benefits of this format include players developing essential coordination and motor skills that will benefit them in their future athletic undertakings. The ultimate goal is to provide as many touches on the ball for each youth as possible and create lasting enjoyment in sport participation.

Bulldog Soccer School takes place at the Pierce Lake Elementary soccer fields on the corner of Old US 12. Participation times are based on age: 4 & 5 year olds will play from 9:00-10:00 a.m. while 6 through 10 year olds will play from 10:00-11:15 a.m.

Each youth will need their own youth soccer ball.  When purchasing your own soccer ball, size 3 will be used for ages 4 – 7 and size 4 will be used for ages 8 – 10.  Shin guards are recommended for the older ages, and cleats are not required.
